Meet the Farmers

Farmer BrownFarmer Brown
My name is Ed Brown and I am head farmer of the operation. My background includes a degree in Animal Science, experience in commercial pig production and research in pig reproduction, but my greatest asset is that I enjoy working with pigs. I am currently the county extension agent here in Athens County, Ohio and, among other things, work with a small group of people wanting to learn about breeding and raising a small number of pigs.
Farmer BoLil' B
Lil' B is my right hand man in taking care of the pigs. He started off five years ago showing a feeder pig as a pee wee in the open show and moved up to show as a Cloverbud. He showed our newest gilt that we developed for our herd and won reserve champion gilt at the county fair. He asks lots of questions and loves to learn about the pigs.

Big E is the showman. He enjoys grooming and showing the pigs. He helped the operation get started several years ago when he caught a pig at the county fair pig scramble.
